Drive away Monday blues
I really don't like Mondays. Don't kid yourself, you don't too. But what better way to drive away them Monday blues, than by treating yourself to some good food! This week, I headed to Latitude - by The Park. Latitude is a cozy little café tucked away in Rutland Gate that has a lovely, quaint milieu. A little piece of France, in our very own Chennai. Attached to the cafe is a store selling some knick-knacks that you can take home with you.
After the menu was served to me, I took my time to choose the right combination that would suit my
mood. I settled on the wild berry smoothie and grilled chicken (as you know we are trying to go healthy).
The smoothie was delish! A perfect blend of berries, yogurt and vanilla ice cream (the smallest scoop possible, I promise) and just the right amount of sweet. The chunks of berries in the smoothie were the crowning glory for me. The perfect drink for kids and adults alike and if you're looking for a meal replacement, this is your go-to!
The grilled chicken that was served with boiled vegetables, couscous and pepper sauce, was my choice for lunch. Have you ever felt like a meal gave you a hug? Well, this was it; the feeling of coming home. The chicken was grilled to perfection. It was tender and was a mix of some delicious herbs. The perfect choice for a light but filling meal!
So if you're looking for a little getaway in the city, some quiet me-time, head over to Latitude and you will not be disappointed :) Berry Smoothie: 200 calories (approx) Grilled Chicken: 350 calories (approx)
